Best Mexican Food in Oakville, Memphis

This time I stopped by El Gallo Giro for lunch with two of my coworkers, and it was another great experience. We were seated quickly, and our food came out fast, which is always a plus when you're on a lunch break. I ordered the steak fries with cheese sauce, and the portion was huge. I ordered the fajitas. They were the best I’ve ever had!! My husband had the garlic fried fish! I tried it! Amazing! It felt like I was in a foreign place experiencing new food for the first time!! Awesome experience!! Don’t let the sign fool you. It says supermarket in Spanish underneath the restaurant but that is because they are connected!! The prices are very good too!! Especially for today!!

Best Mexican food I've had in a while! Service was great, soda was crisp and fresh, chips and salsa were great, food was exceptional! Bathroom was clean. Literally, not a single complaint. Highly recommend because there's a lot of food in the area I won't eat at again. Glad I found this place for sure!

Authentic food!! Barbacoa tacos and ground beef are amazing!! Service is great most of the time! Very good prices too. Only down side is they do not serve liquor, only beer, so no margaritas.

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. First time eating here. I’m from out of town. Love Mexican food. Everything was delicious. Portions were all good size. I am stuffed. Service was good too. Didn’t have to look for my server. Family friendly, delicious Mexican food. Food comes quickly. This is a hidden gem.
